1. Scavenger Hunt at Ashley's
I've *ahem* lost the battery charger for my big camera. Tragic (or fortuitous?), I still have my old camera. And after falling off a 100 year old chair, which earned me a 5 inch long dandy of a bruise on my thigh, and tossing that XTi across the room where it left a quarter inch deep gash in the table... it seems to be working better than ever. Lucky, lucky me.
Stacked up:
(this was taken with my full frame)

Winter Wonderland:
Look! We got some snow! What a bizarre winter.

Sweet:
I think Arnold has a girlfriend.

Hole:
Hey Bean, were you trying to get that cupcake into the big hole on your face? You missed.

Frozen:
I mean, not really.... frozen. That hen could be in my freezer, you know. Not that I would do that, or anything.

2. Clickin' Moms
Friends, that button on the side of my blog, the one that looks something like this...

That's an affiliate link. If you decide to become a member, and if I have been the one to introduce you to Clickin' Moms, please... please. For the love of all things photography.... click through my button when you join so I can receive credit for referring you.
If you have questions about the forum, email me. oldnicholsfarm(at)yahoo(dot)com
I'll convince you that your photography will become fabulous overnight, and you won't have to put any work into it whatsoever (at all). Ha. Hahaha! But really, it is an amazing resource.

And, yes, they have a week-long trial membership for only $10.
3. Flickr
I thought it was obvious by now, but apparently not.
I. am. on. flickr. Add me as a contact, friend, whatever. Really, it's okay.
When left-clicking is enabled for a photo on my blog, it'll take you straight to flickr to see activity/comments on that image over there. If you care about such things.
4. Project 52
There is a tab (button thing, click!) under my blog header that says Project 52. This is my little year-long photography project for 2012. Just something to keep pushing me. I'll update that page with a new photo weekly - probably Saturdays since I am a master procrastinator.
5. Carsen's Courage
I love this beautiful lady. I love her sweet family. I love her adorable kid. Her selfless determination to give him the very best of every opportunity is inspiring to say the least. Life isn't easy for Carsen, but what he has overcome already... brings me to tears.

I'm not only lucky enough to know them in real life, but to be related.
Kelly is hosting a Thirty-One bag giveaway - a great excuse to check out her blog.
If nothing else, read this post: Carsen's Courage.
(if you click, read the entire page, and have a box of tissues handy)

I love your frozen shot with the hen.
What fun, fun photos! Love your frozen, hole and sweet.
Great take on the themes, love the sweet and the hole. :)
I'm not sure which I love more - your photos or your personality. If only you lived closer...I might make you turn me into a farm girl. I love sweet and frozen. You really rock the selfies.
That "frozen" shot is amazing!
*SQUEE* Arnold's girlfriend is too adorable. More pics required. :P
Your frozen shot is awesome.
And if I could go back and click through your link I would. I didn't know there was affiliate links, and I just joined on a whim. Wish I could change it, I'd so give you credit!!
So glad you have your other camera, and that you didn’t break anything in your fall! Love the tracks in your winter picture and of course that great angry bird! And your chocolate covered Bean is too funny! But that last comment cracked me up! So glad your hen isn’t truly frozen! :-)
(Oh and will do on the Clickin’ Moms thing if I do register. I’ve been thinking about joining lately, so your plug was quite timely.)
Bad chair! I hope you are doing better... That sounds like some of the chaos at my house, but then, I am a klutz of some renown...
I love the pics of Carsen, I don't know why, but the first reminds me of a "get ready for school" picture.
Cat (who will begrudgingly admit to having a similar picture somewhere of missing mouth with chocolate items...)
I love these shots! The bird shot is great! "Bean", that's my boyfriends nickname! Ever since he was a kid his parents called him Bean... and weird enough, ever since I was a kid my parents called me BeanS.
Just found your blog. Love it:) Great photos, my favorite was Frozen.
oh my stars... love the white chicken... and the 'frozen' hen! ;) well done! ;)
I think my favorite is your stacked up photo!
Your kids are great, your hen is great. Your love and support for Carsen is so very great.
Beautiful. All of it.
Lovely! Anime I totally love your frozen picture w/ your chickens. I can't believe they are so tame!
I showed the chicken shot to Nick on the day you posted (even though I failed to mention how AWESOME it was) and I have to tell you Jess that I'm a huge fan of your work.
Which you know.
And I love your selfie shot, too.
Just sayin...
Alita
I noticed your project 52 tab, and I am excited to see what you come up with each week!
So much good stuff in one post! I WANT ARNOLD'S GIRLFRIEND! We were supposed to have 2 silkies in our last bunch but got 1 silkie and one mini barred rock. She's awesome, but I still want another silkie.
Those mini chickens are so awesome, and the eggs are teeny tiny. Love.
I'm with Victoria - so much good stuff in one post!
And you had me completely choked up with Carsen's story. Wow. So blessed to have family like that!
