The games we play

If you try to take my picture in a professional sort of way, Mommy...

I'm not gonna make it easy.

whatever mom

more props

I'll do everything I can to not look into that camera.

with lilacs

Unless, of course, you tell me there is a bug in the lens.

no bugs

Don't think for one moment that promising me a yummy treat is going to work.

I'll let you know exactly what I think of being bribed, and I'll even look into the camera, to be sure you get the message.

chalk

And just to drive the point home, I'll pee my pants too.

What great insight on the difficulties of portrait photography! Love the lilacs and the commentary... Her expressions are priceless. ( I really liked the second and third shot you posted!) I couldn’t help but laugh when I read how she drove the point home!

Lilacs are finally here! Crazy how late they are this year. Your beautiful little gal makes the flowers even more sweet. :-)

oh, poor momma!

too true. the great plans of photographers, thwarted by uncooperative subjects. :(

it WAS a good idea. the lilacs are beautiful and i love the basket!

even so, these are precious. and your commentary makes them hi-larious. your bean is such a cutie. can't quite imagine how a mouthful of chalk is better than smiling for the camera, though. :)

Oh my goodness!!!!! What a time you had! At least the shots still came out cute & you have photo evidence to use at a later date when recalling this story

I'm a bit jealous of your lilacs. Ours were pretty sparse this past year. :(

Haha! I have the same problem with my two, except I don't usually end up getting any good ones.

Love the pony on top of her head. She's so beautiful, Jess.
