A bit of parsley

Right now, I'm dreaming of the day I once again have a flower bed right outside my front door. Because I just burned the vegetables that were supposed to be our supper. Because it took me a whole lot longer than I figured, to run way the heck out to my garden corral to grab a bit of parsley.

Right now, three quarters of an inch of rain on our soggy farm means that sandals can't get me through the sudden flood that stands between me and my swamp garden. I had to come back to the house in defeat, and then head back out with my muck boots.

To get a bit of parsley.

parsley on the table

I don't mean to sound ungrateful. I'm thrilled to have an entire old cattle corral to devote to my swamp garden.

But it will be so lovely to have a real flower garden just outside my door again.

fresh picked parsley

I'm gonna fill it up with all kinds of pretty edible things.

That's what normal people do. Right?

Today my swamp tried to eat both of my shoes... and almost succeeded, and left me hoping around trying to find a non-muddy spot upon which to stand to retrieve them. My son thought it was hilarious.

Who knew that pictures of parsley could be so breath-taking! You amaze me! And, I want a garden like yours someday...even if it is a mile away!

You know what I say- SCREW being normal chica. And that fresh parsley is better than no parsley. Plus you have such beautiful solemn shots of it so it wasn't a loss. Plus on top of spaghetti (which I'm craving!) parsley rocks the party.

PS. you do have fresh eggs. Who can beat that?! I want fresh eggs right at this very moment. Maybe so I could make REAL pasta. Mmmm

I'm hungry.

Sounds normal to me! Just wondering, though, did you burn the veges before or after the parsley photo shoot! ;)

Great shots by the way!!!

Adeena, I have a bit of a spider mite problem at the moment. Even the strawberries got kicked outside. ;)

Jenn, It wasn't so much a photo shoot as it was a pause between tossing burned veggies out the front door and getting new ones in the pan. The parsley was so pretty exactly where it landed on the table, I couldn't help but snap a few pictures.

Hahaha! I was wondering the same thing as Jenn!

And really, who wants to be normal? ; )
