We don't have a television. Although to be fully honest, we do sometimes watch movies on our laptop. The world hasn't yet told my babies what to believe. I am aware this will soon change, but for now I'm allowing myself to completely enjoy it.
Our home is on acres and acres of untamed goodness that we never tire of exploring.
And, as you already know, we are easily entertained. Yes, very much so.
This spring, like many boys, mine gave me dandelion bouquets. Then, when I was too busy to cut them myself, they brought lilacs into the house and asked for a vase. It was wonderful!
And then, in mid June, I smiled when they found beauty in this...

{that is not a color cast around the edges, these are actually fringed with an almost iridescent purple)
"Oh, you brought me some grass! It's so pretty, I love it!"
"NO Mommy, it's flowers. You need to put them in a vase with water or they will die."
I gently explained that they had, in fact, picked some amazingly beautiful grass, and that I had a tiny vase that would be perfect. Satisfied, and proud of themselves, they marched back out the door to their other world.
Just don't ask me about the vase.

Both the vase and the "flowers" are beautiful. But even more than that your boys seem to have beautiful hearts.
Aren't little boys wonderful!! Your photo is beautiful!
I am a big fan of simple beauty, such as this and of little boys who see it with me ♥
Although we do have television, I SO appreciate that you do not. My husband is not one who would voluntarily live without it.
This is a peaceful, wonderful photo.
Too sweet!
That picture is gorgeous! Great capture!
Very sweet of your babes! And that is some pretty grass :)
We've got these everywhere, too. What do you call them? We call them "foxtail". I've never thought of putting them in a vase. Kids have the best ideas!
Simple and Classic. Great shots and WONDERFUL sentiment!
A beaker is perfect for it! Gorgeous and suits you to a T :)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The kiddos certainly have a great eye for beauty in nature!
You are so good at finding hidden beauty... you make ordinary things (like grass) look amazing! I also love how you make everyday life interesting and fun. I can't wait to read about your next adventure!
Love the sweetness of your boys...and the creativity of your vase! : )
That is incredibly beautiful grass - I would hold onto it for as long as possible. Which reminds me to add some water to my flowers.
So pretty!
Cool vase. ;)
ACK!! An Erlenmeyer flask!!! You knew I'd have to say something to my fellow science nerd blogger. Hee hee. Funny thing...I saw a floral display in college where someone did several different sized flasks, with different colored water and gerbera daises. SO cute!
