Rattlesnake Snap Beans, given to us by a seed-saving kindred spirit. These will climb tee-pees made from last year's sunflower stalks... at least, that's the plan.
I think I will live vicariously though your garden this summer. Right now I'm thinking ours will consist of two tomato plants, a watermelon vine and a row of peas. ;)
A great reason to grow Sunflowers! My husband would be so impressed with your bean saving abilities. He tries every winter to save peas/bean/etc but as the winter progresses, the one or two pods usually end up in the trash. Accidentally! I promise!
You are brilliant! I'm so glad to finally know what you are going to do with the sunflower stalks.
I like Kirsten's idea of living vicariously through your garden this year......but my kids would just love a tee-pee too much. I might have to be a copy cat - minus the sunflower stalks.

Fun! Love rattlesnake beans! They are so pretty in the garden, and would make a great tee-pee cover!

Cool! That sounds like fun. :) I think I need a break from a big garden.. might just do a few tomato plants and jalapeno peppers. Cause I love them.
I totally was expecting a different kind of "bean" post, just so you know. ;)
yay! can't wait to see that :)
So cool. They're so intent on their project. Sweet. :)
