The popcorn maze

I'm embracing Tara Whitney's mantra of "perfect imperfection" on these photos. I love them. All of them.

Tell me a popcorn maze isn't fun. I dare you.

Here's where I hold my camera above my head and fire away blindly. Bad focus. Wonky composition. Tell me to delete these two? No. Way.

One of us was not obeying the boundaries of the maize, no matter how many times we tried to correct him of his deviant ways. Guess who.

And then he parked his fat behind in the middle of the sunflower hallway.

Honestly, Marshall.

In other news, a grand total of one of our Morning Glory seeds sprouted.

The Older Brother is so so very excited at how much our poor little pumpkin plant has grown since we transplanted it a week ago. All the pumpkin seeds rotted the first time we planted (are you noticing a trend here?). I can't imagine autumn without pumpkins, so we threw caution to the wind and tried again.

That's right, my friends. We're gonna be harvesting pumpkins when it's twenty below zero.

You can't take a bad photo if you tried. Seriously.

Look at how big the garden has grown! Looks like so much fun.

Shooting blind can sometimes turn out pretty awesome and they did.

I WANT MARSHALL!!! He is seriously the most beautiful cat.... Or maybe it is your photos!

Love the popcorn maze!

Your "bad" photos are better than some of my best photos! I love all of your photos.

I might have to try a popcorn maize next year. That is a great idea.

Love these! I can’t believe only one morning glory grew! The maze looks great, and what fun the boys are having! And your “wonky” composition totally rocks!

Love your garden. Everything about it. Seriously.

And pumpkins at twenty below zero? Sounds about right. ;)

Come on over and see my garden... (I posted pictures!)

The minute you wrote "he parked his fat behind"...I knew it was a cat. None of your family would come close to fitting that description :) Very cute! Isn't it sweet when kiddos get excited about growth even when we know it isn't enough or isn't impressive?

Love the popcorn maze and all your pictures are great...really can you take a bad one?!

Our pumpkins started out great then bit the dust. I think they may have gotten a worm that bored into the vine. SO sad....I love harvesting pumpkins in the fall when the wind make all our cheeks pink.

Cool sunflower hallway! :D And the maize looks like so much fun.

Yay for pumpkins! I can't remember if I planted our seeds or not... hmmm.. will have to check if there's any tiny pumpkins out there. But later. 'Cause it's raining now. ;)

SO fun... the only plant doing well in our garden is the self-seeded spaghetti squash in the compost pile!

What a sweet little pumpkin plant! We're in the same boat, pumpkins at Christmas!

Ohhh I love this...what fun they are having! Pretty sure you cannot take a bad picture...ever!

This is our first year seriously growing corn and I may do this next year...you've inspired me! Kim

Okay.....there's not much I can say that everybody else already hasn't. But I will try....

Bad focus....wonky composition.... Hmmmmm, must be in the eye of the beholder. And this beholder is befuddled by a recent refresher on composition "rules."

Maize - I caught it. You tried to be sneaky. ; )

And I'll be harvesting pumpkins only about 1 or 2 weeks before you. If June is the new May, then December is the new October....or something....
