That's not a rooster I hear crowing

Alternatively titled: I don't need no stinking alarm clock.

It's a good idea, on the farm, to be in the habit of waking up well before 6am.

Every. Single. Day.

There is work to be done. Gotta fire up that John Deere.

And get your butt out into the corn fields.

It's such hard work... enough to completely poop you out before your brothers are anywhere near waking up.

And those brothers, they get up way too early.

So cute! Looks like it's really early.
I know the feeling of being pooped out before anyone is up.

Looks like the Bean feels it's necessary to keep her mama on her toes! And I love the photos, but I always love your photos!

Jess, I'm loving these pictures! They have a timeless quality, where you can't tell when they were taken, and I LOVE that! Thank goodness for my late risers; they know mom's not a morning person. ;-)

Oh yeah, and you're right: 3 cheers for tutus and hi-tops, right?! LOL!

All my babies were early birds, unfortunately. But now I'm the one getting up early!

I have a little boy who used to get up super early.... we always joked that he kept "farmer" hours:) He would have been loving osme farm chores to complete first thing in the AM:)

And I LOVE your alternate title. ;)

How adorable!

Do you take naps when the little ones do? That's what every one recommends, you know. I never did it, but that's what I heard!

I love how these photos completely tell the morning story - love them in black and white. I hope you guys have a great labor day weekend on the farm.

Beautiful pictures of your little Bean! I love that they are black and white. Some days, I wish I had a job where I could clock in and out. A mom can never go on break or take a vacation day. Heck, I can't even go to the bathroom by myself! : ) But as I think about my little 5 month old "bean" I know I shouldn't wish these days away!
