It snowed. A lot. Again.

Scavenger Hunt at Ashley's!

1. Time

There is about 2.5 seconds of time between when the Bean wakes up grumpy from her nap...

waking up

... and when she decides to "Eee Heeeeeeee!?" (see kitty)

see kitty

2. Poetry

I could post a self portrait where I pretend that I have quiet moments to read.

reading

Or I could be totally honest and get out my word magnets, and make up a fantastic little poem straight from the depths of my heart.

winter poem

Really. We got another twelve or so inches of snow. It's the middle of April.

Enough already.

3. Outside

Assuming all this snow melts and we don't get any more, and assuming my garden swamp dries out sometime before July, my seedlings will go outside.

I realize that might be assuming too much.

More likely the Bean will see them from approximately this angle as she decides to grab one and dump it all over the floor.

Don't ask me how I know.

4. Zoom!

From my archives, taken the end of February.

goodbye sun

5. Isolation

I can't decide. I can't decide.

I'll post them both.

lost in the snow

Both taken Friday evening.

Oh! I wish my two year old changed her attitude that quickly! She rarely naps, so we don't have grumpy wake ups--thanks for helping me look on the up side of not napping!

These are all great shots. I think I like the first isolation one best!

Both wonderful isolation shots, but I really like your second capture. I think the reflection won me over. Your daughter is just adorable! I enjoy the humor and almost peace to your post. Wonderful.

Well done with all the shots - love your seedlings - I hope they all survive toddler hands and make it into the ground... assuming winter ends and all :D From the car is my fav - love the sun!!!

Wow. Snow? Yikes.

There's so much awesomeness about this post I don't know where to start. Love the Bean pics. She sure is growing fast! The poem rocks. Makes me want to run out and buy some word magnets. This WV fridge is oddly empty. I also really, really like both marooned toy shots. I think your spirit might be returning!

Hey Jess, these images are breathtaking- I love the sleepy eyes, the smile and pointed finger, the poetry, the plants, the road and the little boat on a frozen lake- they speak to me of the very fabric of life... how beautiful!

I. LOVED. THIS. POST!!!!!!!

I could seriously gush. And the magnet poem is simply delicious; speaks straight to my heart. I want that picture now to fix to my fridge. So a picture of a picture of a fridge on a fridge with magnets that are envious of your magnets.

Did that make sense?

xo! Alita
