March 10 (+2) on 10

She's getting braver. I don't know if it's the super-awesome fish treats, or if the kids have learned to be quieter around her, or if she's going senile. My vote would be for the fish treats.

Fish, Ellie? FISH!???

Ellie... fish?

He's the mechanical-minded one - asked for a toothpick and went and got himself a light. Then he announced that if he spun the wheels backwards all that junk caught around them started to unwind itself. Not too bad for a six year old. Then again, he's always had an interesting connection with cars... ahem... having been born in one.

Our drive to church. Kind of bleak. Kind of still winter. Endless month of March. I'm totally okay with it this year, which is unusual.

You have muddy pawprints on your sunroof too, right?

See the reflection of the little girl feet?

This was right before his head smashed into my lens... which smashed my camera into my glasses. My new glasses. My only-four-days-ago I got'em glasses. My I-gotta-go-back-and-get-them-adjusted already again glasses. My this-is-exactly-why-I-got-two-pairs-of-them glasses. I win, dear readers. I win.

She's three. But she's almost four. And when it gets deathly quiet, it's still a dreadful thing. Blue sand dunes all over the kitchen floor? True story. I lose.

Just try, ladies. Just you try coming through that door.

WHAM!

just try to come throught that door

And there's most of the menagerie. What should we add next? Turkeys? Goats? Emu?

the menagerie

The spoiled floppy purring one. And there. All the cats made it into one blog post.

Did I mention she's still a handful? Some nights this is the only way (without tears) I can convince her to head into the bathroom to get ready for bed.

First- This was entertaining per usual.

Second- No selfie? Awe so sad.

Third- Loved the perspective shot to and from the styro cup.

Fourth- bleak March is stunning and solitary. I LOVE IT! (But I don't love March here...)

Hmmm...

Your cats are gorgeous. Love the black and white one. So cute!

Happy Monday, Jess!

I love your posts. Real life family living. And what a beautiful life you have! That drive to church is... vast! Your family is beautiful. Then again, you already knew that! Oh, and the glasses thing? My husband and all four kids wear them! Three boys in glasses. Talk about readjustments!

Wow. What a great collection of gorgeousness. I love them all, but the first cat shot in B/W is my favorite. That ride to church looks depressing. I bet those kids and critters keep you hopping all the time! As for the new critter, I vote for goats. :-)

You know I love the kitties. Especially the door guard. :D That's awesome!

And ugh. Your March drive looks cold. (I'll have you know it's snowing here RIGHT NOW.)

Love the peeking out of the blanket shot. Even though it cost an adjustment.

And as for what to add next? A D.O.N.K.E.Y. You know you want one. :D :D

A new cat? The chickens sure have fattened up this winter…. the outdoor cats have too…
Love the photo of the cat hitting the chicken.

I very much loved this. My three year old is now a four year old. {and I'm so happy to be out of the threeeeeees, the hardest age!}

The on the way to church shot, I love it. The one with the kitty smacking the chicken, awesome! And the glasses thing kinda made me laugh. Precisely why my honey and oldest always get two pair, too.

I had the same darn thing happen with my glasses when I got the 3 years ago, but when I went to get them adjusted it was all kinds of tense, but eventually I won. Smart lady to get 2 pairs- you got it together Jess ;)

These were all fabulous. Birth in car?! I think I kinda knew, but to be reminded today caused me to send you a long distance high five.
