1. Seeing double/two
We've fallen in love.
I will send them out to the barn... I will send them out to the barn... I will send them out to the barn... I will...
Yes I will. They've only been in the house a week. It's not an issue (yet).
2. Whatever
Socks with my off-brand Crocs. Crocs? Is that even how it's spelled?
I've already proven that I'm a fashion queen.
*sigh* Whatever.
I have control issues. I had to painfully force myself to switch to shooting in plain old jpg for my own day-to-day pictures. Three weddings worth of RAW images to process pushed me over the edge. (I am not a wedding photographer. Just had a few opportunities to test the water.)
3. Sweet
I have attention issues. I forgot to change back to RAW format when we were under the mixed (artificial and natural) lighting in the coop.
My baby with one of her "beebee peep". So sweet.
Sticking my fingers in my ears while singing "la la la" and blissfully ignoring my white balance issues by slapping the ill-fated jpg straight into black and white... sweet. Okay. Not really sweet, but it works. Sort of.
4. Space
The always variable amount of acceptable minimum space between these two brothers fascinates me.
The amount of acceptable minimum space between the Older Brother and The Bean is not variable. Ever. It's starting to become a real issue.
5. Bright
Did I say I have attention issues? My goal here was to take an artistic picture of grass. Don't ask.
He was sitting on a gigantic round bale of hay (grass). I was just a little distracted by his bright shiny eyes.

I am happy to comment first! I miss the bean, is she still full of energy? Love the pic of her...and of course your grown up boys! Do we get to see wedding pics soon? I like how you get distracted with your camera too...sometimes those r the best shots! The photos that were not meant to be!
Love the pic of the boys - what a great capture of space. Who would blame you for keeping those kitties inside??!
Loved seeing double and sweet! The whole set was wonderful...as usual!!
Love what you come up with, even when you don't mean to. They all rock!
Oh, I SO love these, your pictures always make me happy! Especially the BEEBEE PEEP! So jealous!!!! I also love that your artistic picture of the grass turned into a beautiful bokeh shot with a cat instead.
You make me laugh. Thank you. "space"...yup. Same space was needed between my last two dogs.
While you're knocking your jpegs, I'm seeing things I like. Those kittens are so sweet (yes, you will send them out to the barn) and your little one holding the chicks is very dear. And I too have some grassy cat shots. How can one help it?
Such a beautiful set Jess - I love every single shot...I don't think those kittens are going to the barn though.
Such great shots.. Love the kitty shots.. But then again I am a sucker for cats..
Hugs, Linda
Now this was fun! Loved your commentary on each photo and how it pertained to each word.
Great shots as always, Jess, RAW or not :-)
I would have been distracted by your lovely kitty as well! Great set! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving your lovely comment. I wanted to let you know that for the "space" shot and a few of the others I used my nikon 24-70mm 2.8 lens. It's amazing how it captured the sky so beautifully that day. :-)
Awww, the two kittens playing together is so cute. :) Great shot!
Jess, I have been following you for a while now and I have to say that I love your style. This is one beautiful set of photos, every single one, BUT, my favorite is Sweet. Too too sweet!! :)
OK, you truly almost made me become a cat person with these ULTRA adorable pics! Oh my word!! And your sweet lil' bean?! **squeal!!** Precious!
I have to tell you, your comment yesterday made my entire day. No...my week! What a sweet thing to say! You **gasped** at my high key stairs?? Wow, thank you so much!
It was great to hear from you. :-) Are you getting ready for school to start up again? (Or do you homeschool? Now I can't remember). I'm SO not ready for summer to be over, and these extreme temperatures made me feel like we didn't get to do half of the things we wanted to. SO HOT!
Thanks again so much for such a sweet comment! ♥ Have a wonderful week!
I love your photos. Especially the first photo with the cats. I can see why you are having a hard time putting them out---I would too!
Gorgeous set and interpretations! Love Seeing double and Sweet!
Adore playful kitties & kids! RAW terrifies me - want to hold my hand?
Oh, you made me laugh again! I've had those "sticking my fingers in my ears while singing "la la la" and blissfully ignoring white balance" moments before and I totally understand the control issue and the attention issue... I'm so glad I'm not alone!
P.S. your "sweet" photo really is sweet!
I'm hanging on every word: j-peg raw- so much to learn! I kinda know what they mean, but you've shot in raw you can convert to j-peg? You are a superwoman to me! I have raw food here at the pet shop does that count? ;)
love all the pictures by the way!
TJ, the nature of digital photography is that each image must be processed and compressed. If it's done in-camera you have a jpg, the camera throws away some of the information in each image. A RAW file isn't a picture at all, it's just data. If you want more control over what happens to the image, you shoot RAW, the camera captures every bit of light (extra detail) that hits the camera's sensor... and then you yourself process/compress and then you have your jpg.
So... have you sent them to the barn? ;) We have 5 outdoor kittens at the moment. They are so much fun!
Love the space shot, too.
And the Bright shot. Such a pretty kitty!
And Bean's face in the sweet shot...
But I don't like your socks in your crocs. :P Not because it's a bad picture, but because it's a pet peeve of mine. ;)
RAW all the way! : )
