Happy mess

We spent the last few days of 2010 hunkered down in the house. The snow and wind blew all around outside.

The boys were unleashed upon some craft projects they got for Christmas. Boyish craft projects. Little molded trucks, paint brushes, copper sheet metal (it was really more like thick tin foil), and a tiny mallet and embossing tool.

They. Had. A. Blast.

And a little problem.

The Bean wanted to play too.

How do you avert World War III?

finger painting

Finger paint... and lots of it.

I even had to scrub the wall when she was done, and she wasn't sitting that close to the wall.

Love it!! I let my kids finger paint last night, but in the bathtub with shaving cream...Great depth of field!

Nothing quite like the smile that arises when you're up to some messy, goopy, doesn't happen every day sort of fun!

Aww, I love her sweet smile, and the gooey fingers. Too cute.

That depth of field kills me. As does that mischievious smile! She looks so pleased with herself! Adorable.

Adorable!! I don't know how you do it - after being "snow/iced in" for 2 days I am getting cabin fever. Love the DOF!

Looks like a good plan - and I love how the focus is on her hands.
