You Capture - Holiday decor

I imagined everyone doing cool macro shots of the Christmas tree, and I did too. But I just have to do something different, so I'm not posting those. In fact, I'm not too thrilled about this first shot, but decided I'd better post it so I have a chance of getting away with posting the second one. Beth, please don't delete my link! I might have alternately titled this post, "She's gone crazy with textures".

Well, whatever. Here you go.

I love the window, but not the wreath. Maybe if it had more red berries? Like I said, I'm hoping this is my "get out of jail free" pass. Don't worry, more red berries to come.

All right, I admit it. This next photo is not a holiday decoration. It's just something I found outside. BUT, if I were to cut it down and bring it into my house, it could be transformed into a Christmas decoration. And that is all that really matters, right? Please tell me I'm right. Or the picture would make a lovely card or something.

I went a little wild with the editing*, but I love it. They're actually teeny tiny crab apples, still hanging onto the tree at ten degrees below zero.

Check out I Should Be Folding Laundry to see some real holiday decorations.

*I was caffeinated at 2am, what can I say.

I think those berries look beautiful!

I love BOTH pictures. The wreath is beautiful to my eyes, and the berries would make an awesome card...perhaps another idea for a stay-at-home-mom? - Maria

The textures you used are fun.

I love the crab apples. I included some outdoors pictures too, I like to think it really isn't cheating on the theme but rather counts as Mother Nature's holiday decor!
