I'm ashamed to call myself a North Dakotan after how intolerant to the cold cold cold I was today. I was lucky enough to be woken just in the nick of time by a two year old. I was even more lucky that it was Saturday, which meant her Daddy could snuggle her up while I grabbed what I needed (but not enough clothing, apparently) and took off across a cold cold cold field.

{composite of six photos taken between 6:45am to 7:03am central time}I struggled to take a few more pictures and then ran all the way home because I couldn't move my fingers.
It was an awful shame because the sky was just getting interesting.
And for real, it wasn't even that cold out.

I totally would have ran home, too. So awesome that you caught that, though!
I so love this! You’re so much further ahead than most! My husband didn’t bother to look up because it was 18 below (around 6 pm when it was overhead in Siberia). I awoke around 4 am to the prettiest orange outside, but couldn’t drag my sorry self out of bed to even take a look! It was so early my contacts were stuck to the back of my eyelids! I’m so glad that you made it out and captured such an amazing shot.
That's so cool! :D
I knew it was supposed to happen this weekend... but not exactly when. We had clouds, so I wouldn't have been able to see it anyway.
Beautiful, though it was cold. I love how this turned out. :)
Soooo cool!! What a neat collection. It's hard to get adjusted to the cold.
WOA!! Jess, this is CrAzY... love it!! So cool! I've never really gotten a great moon shot...LOVE THIS.
I'm a wimp about cold right now too; we always get tougher as the winter goes on I think! Beautiful composite picture. You have such a gift for finding and sharing beauty in your photographic work. Bravo!
Breathtakingly beautiful! I so wish my camera could do that (and I! :)
What a gorgeous night it was!
Amazing eclipse shots! Our hosts here told me the eclipse would be on Friday (at least, that's what I heard) so when I was up at 4:00am I looked - no eclipse. So I didn't look on Sat. when I was up early again. Rats.
<--- jealous.
You've heard my stupid eclipse story already. So I'll just say that this is really quite something.
